Bloomington-Normal refers to the twin municipalities of Bloomington and Normal in McLean County, in Central Illinois. The combined population of the two communities in a special census in 2006 was 125,000.

In February, 2008, Forbes.com named Bloomington-Normal as #20 on its list of the 25 smartest communities in the United States, based on the college degrees of its citizens. Golf Digest has also named Bloomington-Normal as one of the 5 best places to play golf in the USA.
